Nestled on a wooded lot near the Lake Michigan shore in Long Beach, Indiana, a longtime family cottage was reimagined for a growing multigenerational household. Open living and dining spaces make room for everyone to gather at once, while flexible rooms absorb the rest of the day — working, playing, or slipping off for quiet. Expansive glass and a screened porch dissolve the line between inside and out, extending the house into the surrounding woods and carrying it forward for the generations to come.
